Our one hour sessions start at $65. We don't utilize a menu per say but
utilize many different styles and types of bodywork to achieve results.
Swedish-a flowing style that moves blood toward the heart and aids
circulation. The amount of pressure is light to moderate. Many
superficial strokes are used. Swedish is the foundation for many
techniques found today.
Deep Tissue/Neuromuscular-this technique recognizes the feedback between
the central nervous system and the muscular skeletal system in maintaining tone
and function. This affects deeper tissues.
Trigger Point-this is a hyperirritable spot that is painful to the
touch. When stimulated these areas can refer pain to other areas of the
body.
Muscle Activation Technique®-developed
by Greg Roskopf, biomechanics consultant to the Denver Broncos, Denver
Nuggets, and Utah Jazz. If a muscle is weak the body recognizes joint
instability in that position.
Reflexology-The art and science of stimulation certain points on the
feet to affect organs and other parts of the body.
Pilates-A series of gentle, muscle strengthening exercises formulated
by Dr. Joseph Pilates during the 1920‘s.
Myofascial Release-is a very effective hands-on technique that
provides sustained pressure into myofascial restrictions to eliminate pain and
restore motion.
Hot Stone Massage-warmed basalt stones utilized in a flowing rhythmic
pattern to release stress and tension.
Craniosacral Therapy- used by massage therapists, naturopaths,
chiropractors, osteopaths, occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses,
dentists, and doctors who manually apply a subtle movement of the spinal and
cranial bones in an attempt to bring the central nervous system into harmony.
This therapy involves assessing and addressing the movement of the cerebrospinal
fluid which can be restricted by trauma to the body, such as through falls,
accidents, and general nervous tension. By gently working with the spine and its
cranial sutures, diaphragms, and fascia, the restrictions of nerve passages are
said to be eased, the movement of fluid through the spinal cord can be
optimized, and misaligned bones are said to be restored to their proper
position. Craniosacral therapists use the therapy to treat mental stress, neck
and back pain, migraines, TMJ Syndrome, and for chronic pain conditions such as
fibromyalgia.
